Planning - Equipment

During the production of our opening scene Holly and myself used a  variety of equipment, as shown below -

Canon 50 D

Why Chosen - Holly and I decided to use this camera to film all of the shot in  our opening scene, this is because it has a high pixelation quality, at 18 megapixels, therefore we can film our scene with ease, at a high standard.
This also enhances the professionalism of our work, making it appeal more to our target audience. The camera also stabilizes and focuses quickly making it more convenient and efficient to film.

Nikon Coolpix

Why Chosen- This camera will be used to record extra footage, target audience feedback and before/after filming. This camera is advantaged, helping improve the quality of our blog work.With 6x wide-angle zoom, a focal length of 26-156 mm (35mm equivalent).  Offering stunning results whether in wide-angle or telephoto, records a maximum amount of detail with its 16-megapixel sensor.

Nikon  (DSLR)  Canon EOS 550d

Why Chosen- This camera will be used to record the moving shots in our opening scene, such as tracking and panning,  this is because the camera focuses quickly and therefore allows a clear unfocused  picture.

The camera is also going to be used to take images of the costumes and makeup of all casting. This camera has a 10.2MP digital SLR with 3-area AF system, 3.0 fps continuous shooting 3D Colour Matrix Metering II systemnear instant power-up (0.18 sec.)

Steadicam

Why Chosen- This will be used to keep the camera stabilized and focused. This will work well when producing moving/motion shots and will allow better quality filming.
This Steadicam has a weight to take out the static in your hand, which holds the camera still throughout filming.
Shoulder Brace

Why Chosen- This is good for motion shots, it supports your shoulder whilst filming and stabilizes the camera.Making the picture more focused and clear.
